Artist's Comments

The last known living dragon was burried in Egypt about 5000 years ago. It was also one of the most elaborate dragon burials. Adorning the dragon is a golden mask that, today, is of such exorbitant value appraisal is impossible. The most advanced preservation methods of the era were used. But even today ofcourse, preservation of such a large specimen is incredibly difficult.

I really want to get a better scan. This is just terrible. I had to patch six seperate scans together, plus the scanning surface wasn't super clean. Colors are kind of messed up, misalignments and whatnot.

This is one of the biggest pictures I've made, if not the biggest. Let's just say it took me a long time.

(Oil pastels, and easy on the pencil crayon)

Very very very very nice. Shame the dragon didn't get preserved.

"Nuts we are and nuts we shall remain.
I am insane," the little cat sang.

Really nice job on the dragon and the painting, and heh, don't you hate when you have to piece images together to show them xD

English doesn't borrow from other languages; English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over, and sifts through their pockets for loose grammar.

hmm. . . do you suppose his mouth fell open. . . or they wrapped him that way?o.O hehe and the mask definately makes the piece.

I suppose it would've fallen open after the hardened muscles were decayed but I'm not sure how it stays in place since the ligaments would be gone by now. Thanks for your comment.

no problemo. And you know, we can always just stalk it up to "the cat did it"! That phrase never fails. I can see it. . . just standin there, paws on jaw, holding it up for all to see. .. maybe even frighten a few mice to death. . .
